When I went to WalMart this morning for misc cleaning supplies, I spotted a fresh shipment of houseplants that had come in. They were in great condition and the prices were good too. I got a majesty palm (less than $10.00), a eugenia topiary ($11.98) and three kinds of ivy ($2.75 ea). Then when I was at the grocery store I picked up an oxalis and a little pot of mint. Must have been the day for unexpectedly finding nice plants. Then I went to Michaels and found a cute little bird cage 50% off and a ceramic white bird at $2.00. The saga of the unfinished conservatory and kitchen continues, but with these plant additions and the other odds and ends that I've moved in over the last two months, I can really see how it will look when it is done. Still need to finish the tile floor, dishwasher panel, sink, counter top, etc.... I'll also be switching the bigger square table with a smaller round table as soon as I can get someone to help me move them up and down the stairs. Pictures attached - I'm so thrilled for how this is turning out.
