Disocactus Ackermanni
1. Flowers Red
2. Stems never 3-angled, flowers not campanulate(Shaped like a bell, as certain flowers are.) , stigma lobes purplish red - species - D. ackermanii

The second description is the stock Ackermannj and hard to find. 'the purple stigma lobes are the sure identifier, along with the flower shape.. Most collectors call both Ackermanni without note of the difference. The first is a hybrid, of course. The older plant is not hard to grow-just hard to find. I've purchased several species plants but have yet to bloom a true species Ackermanni. When I find it, I'll make sure you get sev. stems bob
