I can believe the article you read about the CC blooming when not moved. I have had the same thing happen with mine. It is amazing what beasts of habit they become.

Here is a picture of one of the Hybrids Gita sent to me. The buds are a deep salmon when they come out and when they bloom they are a pale salmon. This picture shows you both.
