If you need to prune them back though they will be alright and they will still bloom and do whatever they need to.
This is my tower of no Beni and Heian no Izumi...It is getting pretty full and there were only 4 seedlings in it to start with now of the 4 there are only 2 no Beni and one Izumi left. So as you can see they can take over quickly........:o)
