I had only seen tiny burr oaks, and thought them homely. This one was magnificent. The Silk Roads grew up, and then leaned out. Passersby were very complimentary. Pic 3. It didn't seem to matter that they were sharing their space with other lilies I was transitioning. One was in a pot with a rose and two other lilies! Pic. 4. Here they are from the ground. Pic. 5 And the real surprise? For the first time, they grew two bulblets, which I have planted for bloom next year. |
