Insect and Spider Identification: CLOSED: Small Black Bug in Texas, 1 by Mayhem Red

I've searched for hours and can't find anything like it, I'm not sure if the black section that looks like it's hanging off is body, or stubby underwings? She finally got her daughter to get some better pics for me to use, and I have full permission to upload them!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
