It is still green and looks OK, but the bud never progressed past what it looked like when i got it.
Yesterday I touched the bud--and it fell off. The plant also has not made any new flower buds.

I have kept it watered, but maybe I am just not giving it good enough light.
I could move it to better sun--but i am afraid the squirrels will dig into it.

Nothing is wrong with the gardenia--it is just that it seems "frozen in time"....
