Kept for two winters in a cool greenhouse, not by choice but dictated by the size of the power bill. I was tight for hanging space so planted three varieties of leaf cuttings in each 8" pot. I have to refresh the names every year, and keep a plant tab on each one. I have only lost the name on one, so my system is working so far. My plants are going outside next week to hang under the cherry tree all summer. Hopefully a fair amount of rain this summer will leach out the excess nitrogen in the soil. This is my Disocactus x hybridus 'Ackermannii'........ evidently a popular variety, since I see so many photos that look like it. |
