I agree about wanting plants that just won't survive. I have tried Centaureas of many types and colors and they just flat won't grow for me. I thought the amethyst in snow was so pretty...I bought 5 of them to highlight a border....

....they bloom May through June...by early June they were all fried....felt so bad that I had tortured another poor plant. I guess it is true, we always want what we can't have....grin But sometimes the things we can have make up for it. Phaius tankervilleae, Nun's Orchid, a terrestrial grower
