These nests/coocoons are currently in our young boab/bottle tree in the front garden. The larger ones are at least 24cms long. My husband removed one; there was a small green spider, and an approximately 20 cent size group of dry eggs/larvae. Is this a black/white moth & is it a pest, or is it something more ominous? There was a wasp circling around the tree - looking for potential food? There are small holes in the nest like something has crawled in or out. We have had high rainfall during the last two months, maybe that has attributed in some way. I anxiously await your response
Hope you can assist
