Tropical Zone Gardening: Anyone with experience growing Rudbeckia hirta?, 1 by vitrsna

Recently flower buds started to form and now I have flowers that look like the photo attached. The photos I've seen of this type of Rudbeckia show large bright yellow daisy-like flowers with yellow to green centers. Any comments? Should I be patient and wait for these little pink flowers to magically transform themselves into large yellow daisy-like flowers? Right now I am feeling puzzled and well, disappointed and not sure if I should pull the plants up or wait for some magic to happen. I have two plants 3-1/2 - 4-1/2 feet tall.
