New visitors; for years I've only seen one pair, maybe two pair though at different time. This is my first time seeing a half dozen of these Pekin ducks together. They maybe domesticated ducks on the loose? Duc, I've seen an eagle hunting in my backyard, that is something I don't enjoy watching, though I know they gotta eat. I'd rather see them eating "shushi" rather than those that has feathers like that of their own. Yike!

Kell, cute little duckling. Elphy you've seen some colorful birds, and how lucky is your friends who has hummingbirds wintering there nearby.

GG, your "crash landing" Mourning Dove is a nice shot. Burn, thus far I've not seen any Blue Jays around here, so I enjoyed yours. Thanks.

Mrs. Ed. would you please ask your sis and nephew to share the recipe (on our bird feeders thread)? I purchased a bag of nuts labeled for woodpeckers, I'd like to make some "cakes" for them.

While we on the subject of the colorful birds. Red, those sapsackers are beautifully colored. I've some nice shots of them. I agreed with others who commented that "too bad they cause much damage on young trees". I too had lost a young tree in the garden, but thought it was our work in the garden that caused the tree demise. Looking back I think I know better. I still love those "suckers". lol
