dyzzypyxxy wrote: Pixie, seems like nobody else gave you a holler so I'll throw you some ideas. I'm not familiar with P. morifolia, but I do have several other passifloras. All are short-lived (3 to 5yr.) perennials here. Some are more cold-tender than others, but that shouldn't be an issue this year, as we've had so few cold nights (so far!!). It might be just dormant at the moment. Also there are butterflies (caterpillars) that eat up the leaves sometimes. They can make a plant look terrible, but it will not be killed even if they eat every leaf. Don't squash the critters, they are Gulf Frittilary butterfly babies! If it's in a pot, you could try moving it to a spot where it gets more sun. With a little bit of cool weather coming next week, it's not a good idea to fertilize it, or even give it extra water. In fact, have you tapered off watering it? My big vines are getting no extra water these days as the cool nights keep them pretty much dormant. So don't water it until the nights start warming up again. Around the end of February, give it some granular slow-release fert and start watering it a big again. Hope this helps Elaine |
