We see flocks of White-tailed Balck Cockatoos around here. Unfortunately, it brings no joy, as I know I'm watching a bird that is being pushed closer and closer to extinction because of habitat destruction. The last couple of weeks I've seen small flocks of black cockies, but they were making a different sound. I thought they may have been juvenile White-tailed. I took a couple of really quick shots as they flew over the osprey nest the day before yesterday. It wasn't until I download the shots that I saw that what I've been seeing are actually Red-tailed Black Cockatoos.
