I looked at the "leaves" on mine and the scallops along the leaf edges alternate on both of mine.
In your pictures, JB, they seem to be in pairs--like--across from each other.

Will post the buds I had on mine. Other than the color--they are similar. Yours seems to be orange--
mine was bright, bright, magenta...and the other one was red. I do not know the names of either one.

Try posting it on the orchid cactus Forum. Maybe someone there can help you.
