Those House sparrows are driving me batty. We fill our platform feeder with peanuts for the woodpeckers and blue jays. Well, the house sparrows think they are toys I put out for them. They continually go in to grab the peanuts, but they do not eat them. They drop them outside the feeder (never back inside) or fly off to drop them elsewhere. I find peanuts in the strangest locations. Front porch, bird baths, under trees. At least I have seen the Blue Jays go under the trees to try and fetch a few.
