I sympathize with your construction situation - we've never built a house from scratch, but had 2 houses under renovations for 3 years in a row a while back. Phew, it's exhausting! Sure doesn't leave much time for gardening, either.

Here's a weedy old trumpet flower - same vine that's blooming like crazy up in the top of one of my huge oak trees!
