This is a good birding spot when NM is dry as now, especially if your locked out of all the USFS land. Galisteo Creek flows all year from the Sangre de Cristos near Santa Fe west to the Rio Grande. There is a wooden bridge across from the church and you can park underneath. Great bosque habitat and a trail runs both ways along the creek.
