All the broodies left there nests and there was still three eggs left and one had pipped,it also had blood on it,I was going to let nature take its coarse but dh said we needed to try to hatch it,after going through the little polish deal and then having it die I did not want to interven,I thought that the mother had left it for a reason,but dh was so adament about it that I brought out the little incubator and put water in it and a wet sponge because the membrane had really dried out on the egg.Thinking that it would not make it I kept checking on it and about 6 hours later it hatched,still thinking it would not make it I left in there until tonight(it hatched last night)then took it out and put it under Jadee my sikies that I rasied and stayed out there for a while and it stayed under her,so heres hoping in the morning it will be ok and know enough to eat and drink.My house is chicken free untill Aug.6th and then my 40 eggs will start to hatch.The other two eggs I threw away.Its a cute little black one.
