It would be a terrible shame for you to have to prune back your gorgeous AeAe and relegate it to the garage for the winter. Are you sure you couldn't introduce it diplomatically to your Dw and let her fall in love with it, so she'd maybe . .. invite . . you to let it overwinter in the living room? Bet it has a nice high ceiling and good light, right?
