Hi Jen and All - Jen, the Nut Grass or Nut Sedge grows on a bulb. I told hubby who will be the one treating the Nut Grass about your suggestion. He has found a product, or heard of a product that he still wants to do a bit of research on....I believe it is called Sedge Hammer. He needs to find out how it is applied and how to prevent it possibly killing the things around it. I suppose if the Sedge Hammer is liquid form like Round Up, it can be applied in the manner you suggested. I will let you know when he finally gets around to treating it. In the meantime, please don't hold your breath. hahaha It is not the most important thing on his list currently.

He spent the morning at our Farmers Market. He actually sold several of my houseplants.....yippie. Feels so good to have some spare change. I can tell that I will be re-investing any of my earnings from the Farmers Markets on growing supplies.

I spent a couple of hours online this morning looking at shelving. I want to get something to display and use to grow the majority of my houseplants in a spare bedroom. Most of the houseplants spent them winter in that room last year, but it was not set up, design wise to make plant maintence an easy chore. Some of the shelving units I found look interesting and ought to work for me. I still have a while before I need to purchase them, so will keep looking in case I find something perfect for the job.

I spoke last week of a plant question a neighbor has. I am going to post a few of the picture dh took. If anyone has any ideas, I would appreciate hearing your feedback. I will scoot along for now. Hope everyone has had a good Saturday so far.
