I just found and read this entire thread. Awesome flowers and VEGETABLES. I am most impressed that you got an iris to bloom, Becky. I had been told that I wouldn't be able to get them to bloom in Cocoa Beach. Now I've got to try. I had one little bitty one bloom this spring and it was so cute. I'm packing it up and bringing it down.

Early spring sightings were of three woodchucks. We are now down one, to two. They like to eat anything I plant. I don't like to share my food with them. Strange spring, MGs are just sitting not growing very quickly. My mailbox is naked. Ha ha. This year my sister Patty planted MGs on her mailbox trellis and it's halfway up the pole, no blooms yet. She says it's red. If it is , I'll save seeds. We've had a lot of rain and cooler than usual temps. Most of the time I have a sweater on, can't seem to get warm enough. I've also been battling bronchitis, can't seem to shake it. Pretty desperate, about to try the old two drops of oregano oil in a bowl of boiling water and a towel over your head. My sister Mari swears it will help.

Take care everyone, your gardens are lovely. Here's a few water lilies blooming in my pond.
