This year NorCa had a very long cool spring, even getting a last rain in June which is unusual as it usually stops sprinkling in mid-May. The roses have soldiered on regardless, now in their second flush of bloom, but...finally the hydrangeas have opened up! This is "Sun Goddess", an excellent variety. Leaves eventually turn a chartreuse green with big pink heads. This variety does not turn blue no matter how acid the soil, at least for me. The other flowers here are limonium, lavatera, two colors alstroemeria, the last of my white callas, and 'Double Delight' rose.
