The veggies are thankful for our current heat (us, not so much). It went from 77 as a high on Sunday and I comfortably wore a short sleeve sweater all day, to 98 on Monday when I could hardly stand to handle that sweater from the dryer. We knew it would come....

Darling dog Digger. Of the 2 dogs left behind by our Mexican family, it appears the little guy has a new home. Our neighbor's sister heard and took him home last Sunday and she has not returned him. I felt like a traitor as even though Blackie had never allowed me to even pet him, he squealed in terror when they put a leash on him and tried to lead him away. I went to him and he let me pet him, pick him up, lead him to the car all the while looking adoringingly at me. His companion, Paluca (means wig) is lonely for him. We will need to take Paluca to be groomed before anyone will be interested in him though!
