However, in the pic, it seems to have yellow above its bill and doesn't have a red-belly. Is it just youthful? There has been another one around that has no red on its head at all. I thought juvi female but maybe its a female golden? Should I spend time staring out the window looking for them? Golden-fronted woodpeckers are usually found a bit west of here but then so is the painted bunting that's been here this week. What do you think? |
