I keep mine in big pots so that I can water them more, since our sandy soil is so porous. Then I move the pots to the south side of the house in winter. Most years they keep blooming right through the year. So nice, when everything else is dying back.

I feel lucky we've not had any smoke from the fires near us. Breeze has been off the Gulf the last week or so. Down side is it keeps most of the t-storms inland, along with the smoke. Let's hope some of that rain gets to you today, mj.

Here's a little coral Barleria that has spread or seeded itself under the lychee tree. Yeah, lots of plants that say "full sun" really like a bit of shade here.
