Kay Jones, It can only be dumb luck, getting that vine to bloom. I lost a mature vine in the previous bad winter and even with extra covers on the HH, this new plant lost all it's foliage. It is in a spot where it gets morning sun and I try to never let it dry out.


RachelLF, I am having a hard time with the P Gigas. I might have to re-pot it to see if that will help any. I usually have good luck with Philos but this one is hard to please. I thought that if you got the cuttings to strike, maybe you would share some wisdom with me.
I will have to see a picture of your mature leaf before I can help with your new Philo. Kudos to you for getting it to grow. I will not buy any more cuttings from e-bay, having lost too many already.
