Frank, shredded leaves are good for mulch. Yes, doesn't look as good as the shredded bark mulch, but it does keep the weeds down, and worms love it. The more the merrier as far as the worms go.

Oh, Celeste, I could have given you one of those pink flowering almonds. Would have been a little smaller, but wouldn't have cost you as much. Man, I sure don't charge that much for mine! I get about $5 for them. Love the peppermint colored flower. Is it a geranium?

BTW, I saw a gorgeous saucer magnolia in Kingston the other day and took a few pics. It was the largest one I've ever seen. The spread was enormous, and the branches touched the ground, even when not in bloom.
