The mother of this brood was watching from a perch 30' away when I saved her nest and every now and then adjusted my makeshift nest I set up for her. She didn't even protest vocally, but instead would wait until I finished maintenance, (which sometimes included placing her young back in the nest). She never did a 'fly-by' on me! lol!
