So much for my thoughts on not putting up all the birdhouses. A large family of HOSP showed up yesterday. We had to put up the old houses for them and covered over the hole on this Gilbertson house for a while. The swallows disappear during the rain so we're hoping this family will be settled in the other houses by then.
