I go all winter without a pump or bubbler because of this fact, however I would not want to do this in the Summer. We have a bubbler system that we have in the deep end of our pond that we turn on when the water temps approach high 80's and into the 90's. This bubbler system is in addition to the 4 pumps that we run all Summer.
