Smockette told me once that if you had freezes you might get blooms. But in the south some people have to put ice around the roots in cold weather to get blooms. I have had a couple plants for several years and only twice seen blooms on one plant; it is in only afternoon shade. Also one of the years it bloomed, the buds opened slightly, then a week of rain ruined them. They are not something I would buy or worry with here in TX.
