This was taken by a man named Jim Sharp. who lives in Paducah, Kentucky and he is on a camera forum that I frequent. For this shot he used a Canon 1D Mark IV and a Canon 600mm f/4.0L lens. I happen to own both that model camera and that model lens. But that is where the similarity ends. People asked him how he was able to get such sharp images and he posted a picture of the set-up he has on his back deck.
