teddy, most oftenly I see Northern Flickers forage on open ground for insects. Having one visits a feeder must be an exception and not a rule. As long as I've watched my backyard birds. NFs had never came to my feeders. Most recently I've seen them came to this oak tree on the backyard twice. Redbellied also are seen on the same tree more often.
