Things are finally thawing out here and it is now manageable to get out, so maybe I can go bird looking Monday at some fields! Did see 3 Horned Larks & 2 Red-tailed Hawks today on the way to the In-laws!

Teddy, yes my suet feeders do hang right on the trees & there is no keeping them out of it. In the warmer weather I use the no-melt pepper suet and they don't like that but during the winter I just accept they will eat it too. If it gets too bad I just move all the suet feeders to the baffled poles for awhile. But I hate doing that now that the pileateds are coming regularly!
