I'm having much better success with the dwarf Canna varieties especially "Futurity" ones that drop their dead flowers instead of hanging onto them. They don't spread nearly as aggressively. Now replacing the 'Stuttgart's with Dr. Moy gingers (hedychium- see pic) which have lovely splashes of white on the leaves and lots of fragrant flowers from June through Nov. here. |
