I've had these pop up in the lawn on occasion over the years and someone here on DG identified it for me back in 2006 but I couldn't for the life of me remember the name. When my laptop crashed a year or so ago I lost all of my files and photo's but after a couple of hours of googling and searching I finally found the identity of this plant. It's called a "Lawn Orchid" or "Soldier's Orchid", Zeuxine strateumatica. I dug it out of the pot of yellow bells and potted it up in a little pot of it's own ... hope it survives.
