Well Dave, your temps were better than ours. We hit 68 and it was absolutely beautiful. I had two gardening jobs on my mind list today but only one accomplished.

The reason being that I am a perfectionist when it comes to my soil and rocks. I do not like rocks in my soil. When the workers dug the holes for the large pots, they hid the rocks under the soil and mulch. They thought that would be fine. They did not know I would be re-raking and uncover all their hidden surprises. This is the first and last time I will have this twosome. The company will know Monday.

They earned their money because it was hard work but it took me 5 hours to get it right. BUT, 1 1/2 hours of those 5 hours were spent with neighbors that were either walking or driving by and stopped to chat.

JB and Lee, another storm coming your way later this week. Well we are headed down Sunday night and by Wednesday we will have a low of 29 and a high of 54. By Saturday we are suppose to be back up in the 60s. So, 54 degrees I can do if it is not windy. I have the bed at the end of the driveway nearest the house to clean out. The fig vine roots have taken over the bed. It is easy to remove, just have to do it.

Anyone want fig vine starts. I will probably have over 100. Also have pink rain lilies I have dug.

I also have many plants in large containers in the garage that need to be separated and potted.

It felt really good to sit down on the couch today at 4pm. I was tired but a good tired. I had Salsa and Chips for dinner. Vern had braised and slow cooked short ribs. I just wanted something cold. I have baby back pork ribs out for dinner tomorrow. Ribs, Black Eyed Peas, Salad and Garlic Bread. Vern will have Cornbread.

Vern's birthday is February 1. He will be 78. Then we are 10 years apart. In August we are back to 9 years difference. I cannot believe I will be 69.

JB, what I read, you are OK. Just stop worrying about it. That seems to be the worst thing you can do. Just take care of yourself. We need you.

Dave, I have some Ajuga. The plants are winter whipped but the roots are 5 years old. I pulled it back last year and it rebounded like Cassius Clay. It has a blue flower but I do not remember the color of the leaf. I could send you at least 20.

Th California Poppies are starting to germinate. I hope the freeze does not kill them. I dig up some of the pink rain Lilies and Australian violets and the reason for their looking bad is a very large tree root had moved into the area and was sucking it dry. It looks like it came from a street-scape tree and came in under the sidewalk.

Katie, I bet your compost tea is great. I hope you have a gas mask. Glad you are getting better.

I am also getting ready to dig the Black Bamboo. It is coming to you want it or not. And other things will be included without notice. Love you all

It is pretty bad when you have so much snow, there is no place to dump the excess...... LOL... Sharon. §§§§§§§§•••••••••••

This is Sarah Emily last night at her parents home for a 18th birthday party. Girl on left is best friend, boy on right is boyfriend. Sarah is 5' 10", so you can guess how tall he is. He and she are dual Valedictorians. They are both going to BYU. They graduate high school in June.
