Is this a starling? It does not look like the ones I have been seeing. I was wondering if it might be a flicker? I don't think it is a female because I did not see any red on the head. Not much of a picture taking day, too cold to stand out there and wait for the birds. I saw the red-bellied woodpecker but did not stay around and I have not seen him since. The Blue Jays were busy this morning with the bread I put out. I have finally gotten the squirrels to take a second look at the platform, instead of using the $14.00 bottle of hot sauce, my hubby had a bottle of Pure Cap and I mix that up with the seed.
