Humidity in a container is a double edged sword - initially plants grow like crazy and they can stay perfect without any more water for weeks. What you have to watch for is rot and leaf drop. Leaf drop can cause mold to take hold and then it in turn can spread to the healthy leaves. If you vent to remove the excess moisture and forget to close it back up the container can quickly dry out causing damage as well. It can be a vicious cycle but other folks have it figured out.

Here is a picture of one terrarium of a club member. She has hundreds of tanks, bowls, and humidity domes. Her basement is packed as well as her enclosed porch and a bedroom (hard to walk in there).
