Louise, That must have been scary, and really was very dangerous. I had a similar experience when I was a teenager but it was spiders that rained down on us felt like hundreds but probably just a couple of dozen.

We bought 4 more of those inexpensive trellises in a different pattern and Ric cut the legs off of them and we hung them next to the windows like you would put up shutters. The MG from the window boxes grow up them. He used spacers on them they sit off the wall about a quarter of an inch just enough for the vines to be able to wrap around.
