Howdy:
sorry I went silent. I was awoken yesterday am by the doorbell... fed-ex with a cute little package It was the size of a flat and lite as can be. yep it was my cuttings. Luckily my niece had the day off from school so she helped me knock them out. I managed to put them all into the greenhouse. all nicely snug and happy. well watered and looking chipper. Its funny as they looked like they were just cut that am... oh the joy of overnight shipping. the box also had a sticker that said usda inspected. I am guessing they were looking for some of the fun critters that could really tear up our plants in the us.
ok the breakdown is like this
Phlox - Emerald Blue; Emerald Pink; Scarlet Flame; Candy Stripe
Perovskia atriplicifolia - Fern leaf Russian Sage
Veronica - Sunny Boarder Blue

everyone went 3 per pot except for the veronica as they were huge and went 2 per pot. I hope to have them on the market place this may and I need to get $1.85 per. I guess my question - Is the price correct for what the market is?
I amanged to squeeze all the flats into the greenhouse as I have yet to build my hoop houses (PVC) and if I can get away with waiting till next year i will do it. I hope to have heat cables on the ground under all my plants so they will do well through the winter.
its kind of funny as we are in the off year for snow and ice. I will take it when I can get it. we run like that. snow and ice heavy for a few years and then a light year or 2. there is no telling how the year will shake out untill we get into late January/febuary. I know last year i waited till the last min to pull everyone out of the grouping because it just felt like mother nature was not done with us... and boy was I right. we got dumped on big time the 1st part of april. of course the feb/ march temps were 50's and 60s so I knew we were not through it.
well its a rest up day so I will check back later today.

Dawn I am glad to hear you are on the mend with the ear ache.

JB: have you tried the toporal at night??? I know I switched both diovan and toporal to night time and its made a huge difference. It really knocked down the # of pills I take in the am and my night time meds well they are a huge handfull anyway so one combo pill wont make that big a difference. We need you around to keep us on our toes

Luckily we had a decent day yesterday as it was in the upper 40's almost 50. today is another situation all together. its 35 at the moment and we are suposed to get all the way upto .... wait for it ...... 39 ... heat wave tropical heat wave .... we are suposed to be in the 40's all week excepth for wed/thur which will be just above freezing..

The one bad part about the weather being like it is ... is that I have to water by hand as the hoses and pipes all have ice in them and wont clear till its a lot warmer. Its a real pain as it takes about an hour to do everyone. I am just glad I have everyting on timers for the rest of the season.

Oh yea I forgot all about the little suprise i had waiting in the greenhouse. I have a few things that have broken out and started to grow. I did a flat of lavender seeds from Kim's dad's house as well as some Kousa Dogwood seeds that are sprouting. I've never done lavender so it was a huge suprise as to how easy they are to sprout. now if they will just fill out in time for spring planting... hey what am I saying??? I will be happy if the don't freeze out before the spring thaw.
The dogwoods are a great thing to see as I bought the seeds in hopes that I can sell them this year as seedlings. I know the kousa are a bit harder to come by and are highly prized tree's. maybe I might do a small bonsai out of one.

well thats about it for my chatter this am. I hope everyone is doing well and happy. I can tell from the pics storm is one very lucky pup and in hog heaven playing in the snow.

The pic is the albino and a grey kangaroo
