Today I am thankful to have the horses back in their corrals, wether the puddles are dried up in there or not. Those naughty marauders (what I say out loud) have been wreaking havoc since before Christmas and have brought me to tears a few times watching them consume and step on my plants. The freezing weather has helped them decimate my garden. Here is a picture of what were my 7 Queen Palms and Fountain Grass. They had to resort to plants they did not like last week as their 'treat' plants are gone. I woke at 5AM to hear them crunching on the Mexican Fan Palm and the smash of a plastic geranium pot hitting concrete before they pooped on the patio. Hey, fresh fertilizer, right? See those nice green shrubs? They are native wild buckwheat (?). They thrive and I water and prune them. Nice and thick. But do the horses like those? Nooooo.
