I didn't have any umf either, but did make the trip to a thrift store to look for a Pyrex double boiler or kettle. Nada!!
Searched for Vision Corningware at WM, would you believe they stopped stocking them? WM truly is an evil company. Closed down so many mum and pop stores, made us dependant on them enticing us with savings....than decided to reduce their selection!
Oh well, ended up getting a non stick pot which I would use just for my spiced tea. It doesn't taste good in an aluminum pot. Can't use the coffee maker as I have to boil the chai for at least 1/2 an hour for the spices and ginger.

Look Savannah...Austin... this is Lola making her first step in the snow!! She didn't care for it!
