I've skiied since grade school (yes - cable bindings, leather boots, and handknit wool socks) so am totally old school. I opted to just rent equipment for the time being, and that is certainly an eye opener. I had no luck convincing the 'dude' at the ski counter that I really did want longer skiis. Pretty tough trying to adjust from 162 to 150. Can you trip when you ski??
