Lily, glad you're seeing the Coots. We took a drive yesterday hunting for pelicans and didn't locate any, but the Coots were everywhere. We estimated we saw at least several thousand of them in just a small portion of our lake. Congrats on the bluebird!

Teddy, I lived in that snow for a number of years and am very glad to have just the cold temps here. Enjoy your cardinals-they sure are beautiful with the snow.

Missy, congrats on the new lifer! Love that wp too!

Burn, I'm glad the Redpolls showed up-your photos are beautiful. Love the photos of the waxwings too-they sure are pretty.

Hack, hope you're right about the juncos showing up there-I love their coloring. Great job with all your shorebirds!! I especially enjoyed that gull taking off from the water-nice job!! The Ring-necked Ducks are so clear-more great work!!

Nanny, you know you've created a bird sanctuary when your birds will settle down and close their eyes for a rest-well done, that wren is a cutie!

Elphaba, you did a great job with the butter-butt photos. Those little birds move faster than my camera too. Great job with the Eastern Phoebe, finch and titmouse too.

Iris, hope that wind will let up now.

As I said earlier, we found several thousand Coots on our lake yesterday. Most were spread out on the fog covered lake, but this one granted me one photo of the interesting feet on this bird. I'm always amazed at how large they are.
