- Yes, the lighting is all important as I'm sure you know.. A sunny day would have washed out or blown out all the colors and provided unworkable contrast, overcast is my preference, - especially since you're always trying to meter a 'gray midtone' in this situation. Tough because I was using a Sigma 500 with a minimum f-stop of 6.3 but it has optical stabilization so I was able to go a little bit slower with the shutter speed and they don't move fast, so I was just able to get them 'on the edge'.

- Right time right place, I was lucky enough to have the equipt with me to be able to take advantage of the situation. If I could count all the times I was unprepared they would outnumber the prepared ones 5 to 1.
