I'm pleased to have learnt that some will make it their temperary home for the winter here. Gp, it's so nice for you to still see some hummingbirds still visit your garden this time of year. Cormorants are quite a flyer! I've recently watched them fish around a local dam. Unlike Herons who will stand still at a spot to 'fish', Cormorants will circlying the shallow water and dive in for preys. It's a sight to behold! Margaret, your Dove is as cute as can be on mid-air and the picture is clear. Nan, congrat on your 'lifer' kinglet. The sparrows are so cute, I can't wait to see them here -- so far I haven't seen one yet for the season. I'm so envious of your Northern Flickers (and Duc's), though I saw them every now and then, but not as often as I'd like. Besides, my redheaded Wps, the Northern Flickers are on the top of of my fav. list. Dave, your pics. of the Blues (BB) are a pleasure to watch as always. Pelle, #201!!! wow, quite a list you have!!! Hi everyone else; waving at Alphaba, Burd, Burn and the rest of our group. Nice to see you back Wild Rose, those Owls are awesome! It's good to see your posting as well Gary, I've got to go out to the garden and finish up some chores (getting some of my tender perennials inside for the season), will return -- at a later time. |
