I do appreciate all your kind prayers, dmails, emails and phone calls. For those who somehow missed it, I was really, really sick with the flu. My immune system doesn't work well and it takes me a long time to recover, but hopefully the worst is over with. The fever broke, and I'm starting to be able to get a few things done. I'm taking it very slow, and pacing myself. While I liked the rain, I didn't like being cold. I have a bad feeling that the pleurisy is going to come back unless I keep myself warm. Thank goodness for the warm weather this week. I have to collect a bunch of bad caterpillars from my gh. At least I'll be warm in there. The other big deal is that my lap top was giving me the blue screem of death. I miss you all when we can't chat. : - ( Lucky for me, my ES was able to work on it. It seems to be a software problem and doesn't want to hibernate. LOL. It's always something. Anyway, most of you live close enough, we can try to get together when we can. You all are always welcome to come pick through, or help me harvest seed. Sylvia, still got those seeds you wanted. Shermie knows some of what I got, we are going to visit. The road is graded because it was a road before they started developing in the late '80's, Shermie. If it wasn't on the map they used, it is considered to be a private road, and the property owners are expected to keep it up and maintain it. I won't drive up Daily Rd., which is not county maintained and steep with a lot of pot holes and wash board. My poor tailbone couldn't take it. Shermie your road, and one of ours has been graded by the county since DH's grandpa quit doing it. The new roads in the new housing developments are paid for by the developers. At least that is how it's supposed to work. Before we became a real City, the County took that money, from the developers, which was supposed to stay in our community, and used it in other areas of the County. It's still a bone of contention among us old-timers who've seen the quality of our life deteriorate with every new development they build. Sigh. . . QG, I got to show you what those danged gophers did when they encountered my Society Garlic. It would make you chuckle at least! LOL! Sending photo of Jack O'lanterns my son carved. He carved one for his ex gf who says they don't do that in Austria, where she is studying German language. I think he misses her. Better go, and I can't wait for the time change next Sunday. I want my hour back! Don't forget to vote tomorrow. Our family all go together, to vote. Of course our polling place is just across the street, but still car pooling is a good thing. LOL! WIB!
