Help me build our bloom database by sharing what you feel is at it's peak right now. Pictures are not necessary, but are always very much enjoyed. Snipets of other people's gardens are always a joy, and what a wonderful way to discover new plants that you simply MUST have! I am really really late in starting this thread as I have been buried with putting the several yards we tend to bed, and because the holidays are probably going to have me in the same position, I decided that I would lump the next couple of months into a single thread. Although things have slowed significantly with the rain and the cold, there is still quite a bit of color here and there, and the plants that strut their stuff with fall color are really starting to become apparent. I finally found a place for my toadlily that I can keep the slugs off of it, and I am enjoying it's dainty flowers right now. As it is planted right outside my back door, it is one of the areas in my yard that I still sort of see (by porchlight) this time of year as I am now commuting dark to dark. |
